Swimming in magnificent pools at the end of each gorgeous day, sipping on cocktails and eating fabulous food… no Rod and I weren’t on holidays in Bali: we attended the latest Trucking Australia Conference in Darwin.

This conference was not only a great opportunity to hear from industry heads about the key issues facing trucking, but a chance for us to catch up with old friends and speak face to face to the guys at the ‘coal face’. We love this industry and what it gives to this country, and most importantly the people involved are the best kind of people.

With all of this relaxing, eating and drinking one could be forgiven for thinking we didn’t get any work done. We got plenty done though; we heard from some industry heavyweight speakers and developed a forum with on-floor discussions, delegate surveys and real time social media feeds to develop action plans that would tackle the issues facing the industry.

The Kenworth Legends Luncheon gave us the opportunity to hear some remarkable stories from famed truckies and we also cheered on finalists of the National Trucking Industry Awards at the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Dinner.

Another amazing industry conference under our belt and already we are looking forward to the next one: we travel to Hamilton Island in September for the NatRoad Conference -it’s a tough life, I know. Give us a shout out if you see us there!
